Dennis Liu is a Taiwanese American director and writer. His work focuses on innovative, dynamic visual storytelling that combines exciting action with grounded, complex characters.
In addition to his writing and directing, Dennis uses his backgroundas a VFX artist to create breathtaking worlds and bring even the craziest dreams to reality.
His superhero family drama, Raising Dion, co-starring Michael B. Jordan, was the most viewed series on Netflix in 2019 and recently received 6 nominations at the 2022 Children and Family Emmy Awards. The show was been praised for its racial diversity and clever subversion of superhero clichés.
