The Rocket Project

Eight incredibly gifted high school students began a journey to achieve the improbable – to design, build and launch a rocket into space. Led by Tom Atchison – one of the nation’s premier civilian rocketry experts – the students embark on a crash course in rocket science. Over the course of their eight-month journey, the students emerge as heroes in the grand story of the American Dream, and the rocket launch becomes the symbolic culmination of eight students achieving the improbable, in science and in life.
