Project Shiphunt

Project Shiphunt builds on the award-winning initiative, The Rocket Project, when Sony and Intel worked with students from the California Academy of Mathematics & Science, pairing them with a rocket scientist to design, build and launch a high powered rocket. A joint venture between Sony Electronics and Intel Corp., is on a mission to hunt for a sunken ship in the waters of Lake Huron’s Shipwreck Alley, investigate its identity, and document it for future generations. The Project Shiphunt team – which includes five high school students Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Michigan – embarked on their adventure of a lifetime in the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, which protects the famed Shipwreck Alley.
